Wedding Menu Suggestions from Dornoch Castle Hotel...
You may select one or two dishes only for each course. You can choose 3 or 4 courses (or more!) with coffee.

Starters

Highland game pate set on orange and brandy compote, crisp leaves, rough oatcakes:  £5.75

Hot & cold smoked Loch Duart salmon with horseradish creme fraiche:  £6.95

Tian of crab & prawn with tangy tomato mayonnaise: £6.95
Smoked chicken mousse with berry compote:  £5.55

(V) Brie & cranberry tartlets with rocket & wholegrain mustard:  £5.95

(V) Crown of Galia melon, charred pineapple & fruits, lemon sorbet & kiwi syrup:  £5.75

King scallops wrapped in bacon, served with ginger and shallots, finished with herb oil:  £7.25

Main Courses

Loin of Highland venison with a bitter chocolate & raspberry sauce, fondant potatoes: £17.25

Seared fillet of Loch Duart salmon with roasted tomato & basil potato cake, coriander creme fraiche: £14.75

Traditional rib roast of best Scottish beef with Yorkshire pudding & all trimmings: £15.75 or with Sirloin of best Scottish beef: £17.95
Whole rack of lamb, oven roasted with garlic & thyme, placed over parmentier potatoes: £19.95
Escalope of chicken coated with a herb & parmesan crust, set on a bed of stir-fried vegetables, topped with a sweet red pepper marmalade: £13.50

Pheasant & pigeon breasts wrapped in bacon, served with beetroot dauphinoise: £19.95

(V) Cajun roasted vegetable strudel: £12.95

(V) Roasted red pepper stuffed with tarragon & tomato risotto, thyme cream: £14.95

Single choice main course - Prime Scottish fillet of beef rolled in a duo of crushed peppercorns, wrapped in Parma ham, spiked with garlic & rosemary, oven-roasted  & served with dauphinoise potatoes, finished with tarragon & pimento jus: £23.50

 

All dishes are served with a panache of crunchy, seasonal vegetables.

Sticky Toffee Pudding with a Butterscotch Sauce

Please note the following -

It is no problem for our Chef to accommodate for vegetarians, special diets etc. Kids under 12 years can have half portions where possible, and there is a special kiddy menu for the little ones.

When you have a choice of dishes, the menu will be costed according to the more expensive dish in each course.

Fresh canapes can be arranged either on return from Church or in the evening - Prices from £8.00 per person

We are open to suggestion and will price up any ideas you may have for your menu.

Evening Buffet Suggestions

Hot or Cold

Sandwiches, Sausage Rolls, Quiche, Marinated Chicken Wings/Legs etc: £7.00 per person
